Have you ever been given career advice that:

  1. Really motivated you to pursue your ambitions?

  1. Was a bit pointless?

Are you:

  1. Fed up with scrolling aimlessly through job postings

  1. Filling in endless application forms

  1. Receiving support that made you feel confident and ready to take your next best step?

This survey is now closed. Thank you for your contributions. Feedback will be analysed and an update will be provided in the near future.

Your views, opinions and experiences are important to us and help us develop our plans and improve services in the region.

Working with our Local Authority partners, we want to make West Yorkshire a place where you can live a happy life and work in well-paid jobs. To do this, we want to know what will help you prepare for, find, retain and succeed in fulfilling jobs.

Since signing a historic Devolution deal in 2020, West Yorkshire now has an elected mayor with more powers and funding. Devolution gives us the opportunity to develop new ways of working and an economy that works for all. Tracy Brabin, the Mayor of West Yorkshire, is committed to creating a five-star, gold plated career service for the region and helping you find and keep work that supports your career ambitions and helps you lead a happy, healthy life.

We are speaking with people across West Yorkshire, including businesses, local authorities, universities, colleges and the voluntary and community sector, to ensure everyone benefits from our vision.

We want your input as we begin to shape our new ambitions for the future.

Your views, opinions and experiences are important to us and help us develop our plans and improve services in the region.

We want to hear your experiences of: accessing careers guidance and employment support – from school, in work, or finding a job; How you may have helped others to pursue their chosen career; Or even if you have never accessed advice or support – so we can understand how to help you better in the future.
