What is personal data?

Personal data is information about a living person that means we can work out who they are.

When we collect your personal data, West Yorkshire Combined Authority is what is known as the ‘data controller’.

As the data controller, we will:

  • Only keep your data that we need to provide services you have requested and do what the law says we must
  • Keep your data safe and accurate
  • Only keep your data as long as we have to
  • Collect, store and use your data in a way which does not break any data protection laws

What data are we collecting?

The Combined Authority is collecting this data to allow us to find out what people think about our Employment Hub campaign proposals.

We will be conducting a survey to gather view on our two concept options to see what people like or dislike about them and which they prefer.

In our survey we ask you for the following information about you:

  • Age category

All of the questions about your personal data are optional, you can choose not to answer them. We have asked for this information as it helps us to understand the needs of different people.

Who are we sharing your data with?

The Combined Authority will not share your personal information outside of the organisation.

How long do we keep your data for?

We only keep your information for as long as we need it to analyse the survey results. After this time has passed, we will safely delete your information.

What if I have any questions?

If you want to ask us to delete or change any of your information or want to know more, you can get in touch with us at the following address:
