Will the station still be open throughout?
Yes, the train station is unaffected by the works.
Will the car park be closed?
The car park will be partially closed for the duration of the works with a reduced number of 9 spaces available. Rail users can also take advantage of South Elmsall, a short 0.9 miles away.
How long will the works last?
Construction is forecast to take a minimum of 6 months to complete.
Will buses be affected during construction?
No, buses will continue to use the shelters at the station as normal.
Why are you doing these works?
Pre-Covid the car park was full each morning, and we anticipate these levels of usage to return.
What are the phases of the works?
Phase 1 involves a partial closure of the car park, then following completion of Phase 1 this will be open for use and the rest of the car park will be closed until the works are completed.
