Below is the information presented between 22 February and 21 March 2023:

Introduction

We have relocated and modernised the Travel Centre at Bradford Interchange.

We want to hear what you think!

Our survey is available to fill out from 22 February – 21 March 2023 to seek your opinions on the new Travel Centre.

This will help us to assess the success of the scheme when compared against the engagement completed in July and August 2020. It will also help us improve other Travel Centres in West Yorkshire in the future.

  • reduce queues and waiting times
  • improve accessibility through the inclusion of hearing loops, removal of doorways in the customer area, relocation upstairs and improved accessibility on the staff side
  • modernise the services available at the travel centre
  • make use of technology to present products and services on offer
  • improve energy efficiency in line with the wider bus station improvements.

The new travel centre:

  • includes an open self-service travel and information centre
  • is open plan and less cluttered
  • reduces the carbon footprint and paper usage, with low energy lighting and a transfer from paper to digital information (although paper timetables are still available)

The project was funded by the Local Transport Plan.

The Huddersfield Bus Station Travel Centre is also part of our wider Transforming Travel Centres scheme and was included in the original consultation. However, the modernisation of the travel centre is still to be completed and so is not a part of this survey. Those works are to be included as part of the Huddersfield Bus Station scheme.

We have created a list of Frequently Asked Questions to help explain more about this project.
