Tell us what you think about the Park and Rides in Leeds

We (the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Leeds City Council) successfully built three Park and Rides (P&R) in the Leeds district from 2015 to 2021.

We would like to know what passengers think of the P&R services and if any further improvements could be made.

The three P&R sites in Leeds are at:

  • Elland Road
  • Temple Green
  • Stourton

These provide a cheap, convenient and stress-free way of getting into the city without the hassle of city centre parking and congestion.

The services are high frequency, with a 10-15 minutes journey into the city centre.

Thank you for your feedback following the Park and Ride customer satisfaction survey.

We understand how important it is for PR2 services to operate as consistently and conveniently as possible. The current arrangement where some later journeys terminate at Temple Green rather than extending to Beckside Crescent reflects operational considerations such as passenger demand, journey times and resource availability at quieter periods of the day. At present, there are no confirmed plans to permanently extend all PR2 services to Beckside Crescent; however, we are continuing to monitor usage patterns and feedback like yours to inform future service planning.

Regarding weekend operation, we recognise there is growing interest in a Park and Ride offer outside of weekdays. While there are currently no immediate plans to introduce a weekend service on PR2, this is something we are actively reviewing as part of our broader assessment of demand, funding and operational capacity across the network.

Customer insight plays an important role in shaping these decisions and your comments have been noted as part of this ongoing review.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your views.

Thank you for your feedback. Leeds has three Park and Ride sites on key routes to target the busiest traffic corridors, with locations chosen based on demand, land availability and funding. We recognise the need for wider coverage and are exploring future expansion, with your feedback helping to inform these plans.

  • Share I can't fill the survey in as I've never used it. I would use it if it was open at the weekend. Trains are overpriced and I reliable. I love the park and ride at York. I avoid Leeds because it's difficult to get to, this open at the weekend would be perfect for anyone living towards sherburn. on Facebook Share I can't fill the survey in as I've never used it. Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

Feedback from non-users of the Park and Ride service as well as users is helpful so we can understand how we could improve the service and appeal to more people.

We have noted your comments about weekend services and that you believe people living in Sherburn would find it particularly useful.

    Thank you again.

Thank you for your enquiry about the Leeds City Park and Ride customer satisfaction survey.

The current customer survey covers the specific Leeds City Park and Ride scheme that runs directly from the Park and Ride sites at Stourton, Temple Green and Elland Road to the city centre. King Lane is not part of Leeds City Park and Ride as it is serviced by general bus services outside of this scheme.

We appreciate your interest and feedback and if you would like to share comments about King Lane, we would still be very happy to receive them separately.
