Consultation has concluded
Background
The Combined Authority has convened the West Yorkshire Economic Recovery Board to develop robust plans for economic recovery post-COVID and to help build an inclusive and sustainable economy for the future. The board is producing an economic recovery plan with a vision to grow a more inclusive, resilient and sustainable economy with more productive businesses, better levels of skills and entrepreneurialism, less inequality, and better environmental sustainability.
Innovation is key to economic growth and success but it's even more important during this time of economic recovery. Businesses creating new and improved products and processes, adapting their existing products or markets and/or diversifying their offer are all examples of critical innovations.
The Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) supports SMEs to make innovation projects and ideas a reality; we help businesses navigate the complex landscape with our specialist innovation support service.
To support the vision outlined in the economic recovery plan and the role innovation will play in the recovery, we want to better understand what innovation means to businesses and how we can encourage this way of working.
What does innovation mean to you?
Between 21 October & 4 November we ran poll asking you to share your opinion on what innovation means to you. This poll as now closed and the results are being analysed.
Next steps
The insight we gain from this poll will help us design a more extensive survey around the proposed Innovation Framework that we'll be sharing in the coming months. You can use the Stay Informed button to sign up for updates and we will let you know when the survey is live.
