Will the station still be open throughout?
Yes, the train station is unaffected by the works.
Will the car park be closed?
The car park will be partially closed for the duration of the works with a reduced number of spaces available. We are suggesting rail users take advantage of the newly extended car park at Mytholmroyd, a short 1.5 miles away.
How long will the works last?
Construction is forecast to take 13 weeks to complete.
Will buses be affected during construction?
No, buses will continue to use the shelter at the station as normal.
Why are you doing these works?
Pre-Covid the car park was full by 9am each morning, and we anticipate these levels of usage to return as restrictions begin to ease.
What are the phases of the works?
Phase 1 involves a partial closure of the car park, then following completion of Phase 1 this will be re-opened to users and the rest of the car park will be closed through Phases 2 to 4.
