Travel improvements on South Accommodation Road

We are working in partnership with Leeds City Council to improve bus journeys along South Accommodation Road. We want to make bus journeys quicker and more reliable, improve conditions for people walking, wheeling and cycling, manage traffic more efficiently through key junctions.

The proposals include:

• Conversion of a general traffic lane into a new 24-hour bus lane on Hunslet Road and South Accommodation Road
• Part signalisation of the Atkinson Street roundabout, with new signals on the roundabout, connected with the toucan crossing point on Atkinson Street
• Relocated and upgraded toucan crossing points at Atkinson Street roundabout
